CARROLL AREA FFA CHAPTER
As the final component of the three-circle model of agricultural education, the National FFA Organization's purpose is to provide students with leadership development and skills, through many different activities and programs. Carroll High School's agricultural education department is affiliated with the National FFA Organization through the Carroll Area FFA chapter. Established in 1992, the Carroll Area FFA chapter is a shared program between Carroll High School and Kuemper Catholic High School. Membership in 2014-2015 was 113 members; all students in agricultural education classes are members of the National FFA Organization through affiliated dues.
The Carroll Area FFA chapter coordinates many activities throughout the year, and is led by a 10-member officer team. Noteworthy events include Back to School Picnic, Plot Day, National FFA Convention, Career Development Events, National FFA Week, FFA Banquet, and the Iowa FFA Leadership Conference. Members are supported by administration, parents, community members, and the Carroll Area FFA Alumni organization.
