ANIMAL SCIENCE

 

This course provides students with a background in agricultural science as it relates to animals. The species discussed in this course will include domesticated animals both small and large, with an emphasis placed on animals that serve an agricultural purpose. This course is designed to be hands-on and laboratory-based; student experiences will involve the study of animal anatomy, physiology, behavior, nutrition, reproduction, health, selection, and marketing. Students will also participate in classroom discussion about leadership development and the National FFA Organization and continue their implementation of a supervised agricultural experience (SAE) program.

 

Semester Course - 1 Credit

Grade Level: 10-12
